Terms of service

By using Flip Assistant you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Who can use this
You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you.
What you are buying
A subscription to a service that answers questions, provides weather and directions, and transcribes speech, used through an app on a phone you own. The app itself is free; the subscription pays for the service behind it.
A subscription includes a monthly allowance of requests, shown on your account page. Weather does not count toward it. If you reach the allowance, those features pause until the next month. Weather and the two-factor codes stored on your phone keep working.
Trials, billing, and cancellation
- The free trial runs for seven days and needs no card. It ends on its own and nothing is charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page.
- Canceling stops the next charge. Your subscription runs until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Prices can change. We will tell you by email before a change affects you.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your email address and your phone secure. If you think someone else has used your account, let us know and we will lock it immediately.
Fair use
One subscription covers one household. You can set up more than one phone on it. Reselling access, or automating requests to resell answers, is not permitted and we may suspend an account that does so.
Starting repeated free trials on the same handset to avoid paying is not permitted, and the app checks for it.
What the service is not
Answers come from an AI model and from public data sources, and they are sometimes wrong. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or emergency decisions. Weather comes from the National Weather Service and is provided as-is; check official sources when severe weather matters.
Directions are a suggestion, not an instruction. Watch the road.
Two-factor codes are generated and stored on your phone. If you lose the phone, forget your PIN, or uninstall the app, they are gone and we cannot recover them. Keep your accounts backed up somewhere else as well.
Refunds
See our refund policy.
Intellectual property
The app, the service and everything in them belong to us. Your subscription gives you the right to use them, not to copy or redistribute them. Questions you ask and notes you write are yours.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will never be down. It depends on other providers, and on your phone having signal.
Ending an account
You can stop at any time. We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service, does not pay, or puts the service at risk. If we end your account for anything other than abuse, we refund the unused part of what you paid.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything related to this service is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. None of this limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Casey County, Kentucky.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still apply.
Entire agreement
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us regarding this service.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
